Upcoming Events!

I think I've finally recovered from the Kansas Barn Sale a couple of weeks ago (but my house has definitely not recovered yet!)  Even so, it is time to look forward to upcoming events!  We were scheduled to be at the Holy Cross Lutheran Shopping Bazaar this weekend, but due to some family events, we won't be there after all.

However, we WILL be at the Hope Mennonite Church Craft Bazaar on Saturday, November 8!  This will be our third year at the bazaar, and we've had a wonderful time!  Not only will there be other craft booths, there will be food, food, and some more food!  And let me tell you...it is GOOD food!  Peppernuts, bierocks, baked goods, sloppy joes, and lots more will be there to enjoy!

Kansas Barn Sale 2014

Wow!!!  What a weekend!  I'm absolutely exhausted, but had a wonderful time at the Kansas Barn Sale!  Mom and I (as well as the other vendors and the Barn Sale Chicks) had absolutely no idea how many people to expect to show up at the sale, so when THOUSANDS of shoppers showed up, things got a little crazy!  Mom and I were overwhelmed with the amount of people coming to our booth, and grateful for everyone who purchased our items!  Even though the lines were long and the room to move was very limited, everyone who came to our booth was friendly and patient.  THANK YOU!!!  We learned things that worked well for us, and things that didn't work so well!  Each sale, fair, and bazaar that we participate in helps us as we try to understand this whole crafty business thing!!

My plan was to take a few photos of some of our shoppers in our booth, but due to the amount of traffic coming through, that didn't happen!  So, here are some photos from our booth before the craziness began!

Kansas Barn Sale

If you are anywhere close to central Kansas (and by close, I mean pretty much anywhere in the United States!) come to the Kansas Barn Sale this weekend!  It will be worth your trip!

It's Officially Fall!!!!!!

My favorite season of all is definitely FALL!!!  I love the cool weather, the colors of the changing leaves, and the coziness I feel once the weather starts to change.  Along with fall, comes Halloween. Growing up, Halloween was an okay time...I got to dress up and get candy (which was by far the highlight!), but I never really liked the spooky and scary parts.  I still feel that way, so the ghosts, skulls and scary monsters that I see in stores just don't do it for me.  I really don't want to decorate my house with things that make me feel uneasy!  So, I came up with these cuties!  I think I'm going to hang one somewhere on my porch or in my living room.  This type of Halloween decorations I can handle!

They are made from felt, so they should last for several Halloween's to come!

Oh, How Time Flies!

Have you ever heard the quote, "The days are long, but the years are short"?  This is exactly how I feel about the last 10 months.  I have been so busy (as many moms are) with the long days of everyday life, but it is hard to believe almost a year has passed since I last updated this blog.  When I do have a little extra time, I have been working on making more products, listing items in our etsy store, and trying to keep my craft room in some sort of order.  Let's just say I've basically failed at the third!  Sometime when I get up the nerve, I'll post a picture of what my craft room looks like 99% of the time!  Until then, take a look at some of the things I've been working on!  Keep scrolling down to see some of Mom's newest baby quilts!  They are ADORABLE!

GARLANDS!!!  I have been working on these felt and fabric garlands and I love them!!!

JOTTER NOTEBOOKS!!  These cute little notebooks are so fun to make, and are perfect to stick in your purse, pocket, or goodie bag!

RIBBON PAPERCLIPS!!  Lots and lots of ribbon paper clips!

MOM'S BABY QUILTS!!  As promised, here are a few of her newest ones!
